Peter M3PHP & myself (Paul M0TZO) were awarded the RSGB Kenwood Trophy in 2008 for “making significant contributions to Training and Development in Amateur Radio within the United Kingdom†for our www.Hamtests.co.uk website.
Thought now I have won some Silverware is about time I showed off!
These fine peices of Silverware, I won at my local club which is the Sutton & Cheam Radio Society.
The smaller cup is the Monday Night Contest. Basically each complete year club members have to work as many stations between 20:00 – 00:00 every Monday. 2 points awarded for non-club members, 5 for members (about 65 members in club) and 30 for club calls (2 club calls).
The larger cup is the G3DCZ Golden Jubilee Trophy. It takes into account things like, attendance at Club meetings, participation in contests, entries in construction contests, and some other things for good measure.
